Wintercress/ Yellow rocket (Barbarea vulgaris) is an edible and invasive spring green that is in the mustard family. All plants in the mustard family are edible.

Wintercress can be identified by its alternate and hairless leaves and bright yellow flowers which have 4 petals and 6 stamens (2 of which are short and 4 are long). It is often found in sunny, cultivated areas.

Wintercress can be enjoyed raw, similarly to arugula, or cooked, similarly to broccoli rabe. Once the plant flowers, it becomes much more bitter.
